Job Description

The Training Delivery Specialist will actas a key instructor for the Training Organisation in the effective delivery ofhigh quality training programs tailored to client and organisational needs. Inthis role, the incumbent is expected to possess an understanding ofinstructional design principles, TNA, adult learning methodologies andclassroom facilitation techniques. The role requires flexibility and a learner focusedapproach to ensure training content is engaging, accessible and aligned withlearning objectives.

The incumbent will be responsible fordelivering in-person and virtual training sessions, course development,contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and assisting in theevaluation and reporting of training effectiveness. The role also involvesworking collaboratively with the broader training team to schedule, preparematerial and ensure configuration and auditability. A working knowledge ofprofessional training standards and regional regulatory requirements isessential to ensure the quality and compliance of training delivery.

Training Design & Content Development

  • Design anddevelop engaging, standards aligned training materials across a broadrange of subject areas, including technical, professional, leadership andlanguage disciplines.
  • Applyinstructional design principles and adult learning methodologies toproduce content that is accessible, learner centric and appropriate to thedelivery format, classroom, virtual or blended.
  • ConductTraining Needs Analyses (TNA) to ensure programme content is relevant,current and aligned to client and organisational objectives.
  • Create, adaptand contextualise training materials to suit diverse learner profiles,language backgrounds and levels of prior experience, with particularsensitivity to British and Arabic speaking audiences.
  • Maintain andcontinuously improve existing course materials, ensuring content remainsaccurate, compliant and reflective of current best practice.

Training Delivery

  • Deliverin-person and virtual training sessions confidently and effectively acrossa wide range of topics and learner groups, from early-career professionalsto experienced technical practitioners.
  • Facilitateengaging and interactive learning environments that encourageparticipation, critical thinking and the practical application of skills.
  • Manage thefull session lifecycle; from preparation and room/platform configurationthrough to delivery, assessment and post training reviews.
  • Adaptdelivery style, pace and approach to meet the needs of individual learnersand cohort groups, including those for whom English is a second language.

Accreditation & Quality Standards

  • Develop aworking knowledge of relevant professional accreditation bodies, awardingorganisations and regulatory frameworks applicable to the trainingportfolio (e.g. CMI, APM or equivalent).
  • Support thepreparation and submission of accreditation applications, ensuringtraining materials, delivery records and assessment processes meet therequired standards.
  • Ensure alltraining delivery and documentation is compliant with internal qualityframeworks and external accreditation requirements.
  • Contributeto internal audits, quality reviews and continuous improvement processes,identifying and acting on areas for development.
  • Maintainaccurate and auditable training records, registers and evaluation data inline with governance requirements.
  • Work closelywith the broader BSL team, subject matter experts and support staff toensure a joined-up, consistent approach to training delivery.
  • Gather,analyse and act on learner feedback to continuously improve programmequality and learner experience.
  • Contributeto the development of new training offerings in response to client needsand market demand.
  • Support bidand proposal activity through the provision of high-quality content,course outlines and evidence of delivery capability where required.
  • Contribute to a collaborative andhigh-performing team environment by sharing knowledge, modelling bestpractice and supporting the development of colleagues through day to dayworking.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engageprofessionally with clients and learners throughout the traininglifecycle, building confidence and credibility through subject knowledgeand delivery quality.
  • Supportclient-facing activity including needs discussions, programme briefingsand post-delivery reviews.
  • Ensuretraining delivery consistently meets or exceeds client expectations andcontractual commitments.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience ina training delivery and instructional design role, with a track record ofdelivering confidently across varied subject areas and learner groups.
  • Strong working knowledge ofinstructional design principles, TNA methodologies and adult learning theory.
  • Experience developingtraining materials from scratch across broad topic areas, not solely within asingle specialism.
  • Familiarity withprofessional accreditation frameworks and the standards required to achieve andmaintain them.
  • Excellent facilitation andcommunication skills, with the confidence and cultural fluency to engage inEnglish.
  • Experience deliveringtraining in bilingual or multilingual environments is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in the use ofe-learning authoring tools, LMS platforms and virtual delivery platforms (e.g.Teams, Zoom, Learning Management Systems, Canva or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Learning andDevelopment, Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Leadership or arelated discipline. Candidates with a degree in an unrelated field will beconsidered where they hold a recognised professional L&D qualification andcan demonstrate equivalent depth of knowledge and practice.
  • ProfessionalL&D qualifications are desirable, including CIPD Learning and Development,TAP Diploma in Training Design and Delivery, CPTD (Certified Professional inTalent Development), or an equivalent instructional design or facilitationcredential. Certification in a subject matter specialism relevant to the BSLtraining portfolio is an additional advantage.
