Job Description
TheTraining Cell Team Leader reports to the Forward Maintenance Manager and is Responsible for designing and updating thetoolsets that both identify training requirements and record completedtraining.
The requirementof this role is to liaise and support maintenance personnel and managers at alllevels to navigate and succeed in utilising all available media and trainingroutes to be able to demonstrate compliance and competency. This role will leadthe training cell providing confidence to the Part 145 manager that hispersonnel are competent and current to carry out maintenance tasks.
There is also a requirement to assist the training department in theevent of holidays carrying out human factors and other regulation courses.
- In conjunction with the Lead Trainerensure that training materials conform to the appropriate configuration andstandards
- Establishing and maintaining trainingschedules and delivery programmes to meet the needs and requirements asdirected by the Maintenance Training Team Lead
- Supporting the development of trainingmaterial via the Maintenance Training Lead for bespoke or new trainingrequirements, either by outsourcing or producing training courses
- Delivery of Induction Training (Asrequired) to all employees in accordance with the Induction Plan. Otherdeliverables would include Continuation training, Manual Handling and Workingat Height
- Delivery of SHE briefings inconjunction with the on-site SHE co-ordinator
- Completion of Training records toensure Competency and Currency of Maintenance Personnel to provide evidence tothe compliant authority
- Liaising with outside agencies toarrange training and refresher training
- Canvassing feedback reports fromcourse attendees, review trends and respond accordingly
- Delivery of IMS Training (As required)
Key Accountabilities:
- Performanceindicators - Deliver and record training to undertake appropriateassessments to ensure that each employee develops the skills and is able todemonstrate the ability to perform the activities and tasks required in thedomain of maintenance
- Procedure/standards - Ensurecompliance with the Regulatory Framework its associated procedures andstandards, and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. Atthis level would be expected to agree and implement change as required
- Safety ManagementSystem - Understanding of the application of human factors, errormanagement, risk management and safety assurance
- ContinuingAirworthiness Assurance (Quality) - Management and application of theCAA system within Airworthiness Records, including supporting audits,responding to findings in a timely manner and providing relevant informationinto the appropriate reviews
- Statutory/Regulatory& Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate a detailedunderstanding and application of the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatoryframework, e.g. EASA and ensure any changes are implemented; Ensure compliancewith all other requirements, e.g. ITAR/EaPW
- ContractualRequirements – Ensure compliancewith all applicable contractual requirements; Support contract reviews andensure communication of any changes into Airworthiness Records activities, asappropriate
Requirements
Qualifications/FunctionalKnowledge:
- Requires general Typhoon aircraft knowledge/competencywithin own technical/subject area and knowledge of other trade areas. Awarenessof how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overallobjectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement forcontinuous improvement and its application
- Engineering- HNC or equivalentexperience.
