Job summary

North Oil Company Qatar is seeking an experienced IT professional to provide functional and technical support for subsurface applications used by Reservoir, Development, Drilling and Wells teams. You will design and implement AI-enabled and automated tools on approved platforms, coordinating with DBS and external partners.

The role requires 6+ years in enterprise IT, strong Python/Django skills, and Cloud/Azure expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering or related field.
Minimum 6 years IT experience with applications in enterprise environments.
Experience with subsurface software in reservoir, drilling or data management.
Hands-on development using modern programming and delivery practices.
Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day functional and technical support for subsurface applications across Windows and Linux.
Design, develop and maintain automated tools, integrations and data products.
Collaborate with DBS teams, vendors and business users to deliver integrated solutions.
Manage application lifecycle, upgrades, testing and handover to operations.
Ensure secure software development, version control and CI/CD practices.
