Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar is seeking a senior finance leader to drive budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting, ensuring accurate financial statements in line with US GAAP.

You will oversee annual budgets, manage interdepartmental collaboration, and coordinate audits, grants accounting, and asset management. This role requires 11–12 years of related experience and professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA-USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
• 11–12 years of related experience.
• ACCA, CIMA, CPA-USA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in research, medical, or educational sectors desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees annual operating and capital budgets and exec summaries.
• Oversees the budget liaison with internal stakeholders across the college.
• Guides developing and enhancing templates or reports for reporting and reconciliations.
• Oversees the analysis of budget variances and updates forecasts.
• Identifies opportunities for cost optimization and advises leadership.
• Oversees monthly reconciliation against the budget and directs the internal team.
• Monitors revenue cycle activities for improvements.
• Ensures compliance with US GAAP and reviews reclassification entries.
• Oversees monthly and annual close and grants accounting.
