Job summary

Qatar Airways Group seeks a Manager Business Finance to prepare financial and strategic information, monitor budgets, and drive cost control. You will lead dashboards, analyses, and business cases for senior Finance leadership and mid-management teams in a fast-paced corporate setting.

The role emphasizes value-added reporting, risk assessment, and timely financial insights, with responsibility for policy compliance and optimizing resource allocation across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in B2C, Loyalty & Marketing.
• Ability to analyse, interpret data and present effectively.
• At least 5 years in a management role.
• Experience meeting tight internal reporting timescales and managing interruptions.
• Good knowledge of internal finance systems.
• Knowledge of cost centre accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills with variance review and P&L impact understanding.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Oracle Financials experience.
• Managerial skills: delegate, set direction, mentor and coach, foster teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and review internal accounting policies and SOPs for each operation area.
• Facilitate risk management through trend analysis and impact modelling.
• Establish and enforce accounting methods and oversee month/year-end closing.
• Develop advanced financial models and conduct analyses (trend, profitability, scenarios).
• Participate in annual strategic planning including budgeting and forecasting.
• Build business partner relationships with area leaders.
• Promote value-focused project evaluation and prioritisation.
• Prepare and present monthly KPI performance against budget.
• Prepare and present quarterly rolling forecasts to stakeholders.
• Monitor expenditure variances and take corrective actions.
• Lead budgeting processes for Direct Costs, Manpower and Overheads.
• Enhance CMC submissions and post-CMC analysis for major projects.
• Analyze complex strategic projects and present recommendations.
• Ensure inventory controls align with planned levels.
