Job summary

Qatar Airways in Doha is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Qatarization) to influence performance through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, KPI and variance analysis, and management reporting, with a focus on delivering DSP-driven savings and revenue opportunities.

As a trusted business partner across divisions, you will present performance insights to senior leadership and drive actions to improve profitability and strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
• Experience as a financial analyst.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
• Strong eye for details and analytical skills with the ability to review variances and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined section of the P&L: analyse actual revenue and cost performance, identify root causes of variances and corrective actions.
• Drive the DSP agenda: identify and appraise cost-saving and revenue initiatives and track realisation against targets.
• Act as a trusted business partner to QE Commercial, Technical, Flight Operations and Inflight Services areas.
• Define and own the KPIs that matter with the business and use them to steer performance.
• Challenge budgets and forecasts, test assumptions and defend targets.
• Protect margin by questioning spending against targets and recommending actions to close gaps.
• Build and review investment appraisals (NPV, IRR, payback) and provide clear recommendations to senior management.
• Review contracts and commercial agreements for financial impact and risks.
• Prepare monthly and annual performance reporting for Qatar Executive with explanatory commentary.
• Present financial performance and initiative delivery to senior leadership and support ad hoc analyses.
