Job summary

Qatar Airways seeks a highly strategic finance leader to join the Finance team as Head of Business Finance (Subsidiaries). This role serves as the key finance partner for the Group's subsidiary businesses, providing financial leadership, planning, performance management, and decision support to senior stakeholders.

You will drive financial excellence across entities, develop robust models, lead a team, and ensure governance and profitability across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 10+ years of related history.
• 5 years in an airline management position with people management experience.
• Finance Business Partner experience to Commercial Revenue Management divisions and stakeholders.
• Knowledgeable in airline operations; strong English language command.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning for subsidiaries.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate performance and drive sustainable growth.
• Develop and present insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting with KPI analysis.
• Build robust financial models and business cases for investments and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct revenue, cost, profitability, and sensitivity analysis for informed decisions.
• Evaluate risks, provide mitigation strategies and commercial recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting accuracy.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Corporate.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals; foster high performance.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and corporate reporting standards.

This role will act as the key finance business partner for Qatar Airways Group's subsidiary businesses, providing financial leadership, strategic planning, performance management, and decision support to senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive financial excellence across multiple business entities while ensuring alignment with Group objectives and sustainable profitability.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning for subsidiary businesses.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and drive sustainable growth.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of job-related history.
• 5 years in an airline management position and people management expertise
• Finance Business Partner to Commercial Revenue Management divisions and stakeholders experience, preferably in large and structured Companies.
• Knowledgeable in airline operations, with a preference to commercial matters.
• Command of English language.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review variances and understand the business cycle and their impact on the profit and loss account
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively across the organization.
• Strongly developed “soft skills”, high level of integrity, open /transparent, team player.
• Passionate about digitalization and innovation.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric driven approach.
