Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy in Doha, Qatar seeks a Senior Asset Planning Engineer to lead maintenance strategy, planning, and execution for static, rotating, electrical, and utility assets. You will develop long- and short-term plans, coordinate with operations and engineering, and optimize schedules for preventive, predictive, and turnaround activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Certifications in Maintenance/Asset Management are advantageous.
• Membership in engineering institutions desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term and short-term asset maintenance strategies and plans.
• Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance plans aligned with objectives.
• Manage preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Review maintenance notifications, prioritize work requests, and convert approved activities into work orders.
• Develop and improve maintenance task lists, job plans, and standard work instructions.
• Ensure planning for static, rotating, electrical, instrumentation, and utility assets.
• Prepare detailed maintenance work packs with scope, resources, durations, materials, and permits.
• Develop integrated maintenance schedules using SAP PM, Primavera P6, and other systems.
• Coordinate look-ahead planning and optimize shutdown schedules.
• Monitor schedule compliance and recovery actions for overdue activities.
• Support reliability improvement through analysis of equipment performance.
