Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar seeks a Maintenance Planning Engineer Mechanical (M/F) on a fixed-term contract. Responsible for planning daily maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and reduce downtime, with strong emphasis on right-first-time performance.

Requires SAP maintenance module expertise (SAP S4HANA), including order planning, service entries, procurement, and master data management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Engineering degree (12+4 years) in Mechanical.
10 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry and competency*
Hands‑on experience of the Work order part of EAM module of SAP would be preferable.
Competency and work experience in ERP – SAP, preferably in SAP S4‑HANA including Maintenance related Master data creation, master data updating, master data deletion etc in SAP.
Strong technical background and maintenance field experience.
Experience in daily maintenance planning.
SAP ( Master data- Establishment PM plans, creation of equipment, Functional location, BOM, Material Catalogue).
Experience in technical evaluation and spare parts management.
Experience in contract establishment.

Responsibilities

Plan daily maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Develop cost and time estimates for planned maintenance work.
Coordinate with contractors to supply manpower and services.
Participate in maintenance contracts handling including scope development and procurement.
Review work plans and oversee spare parts inventory.
Coordinate with Supply Chain and contractors for procurement of spares.
