Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks an experienced Drilling Engineer to design wells, prepare drilling and workover programmes, and provide engineering support during well execution in line with company standards and HSE requirements.

The role requires 7–10 years of drilling operations engineering experience, a BSc in Engineering (Petroleum preferred), and hands-on use of Compass, Well Plan, Stress Check and Casing Seat to ensure safe, efficient well performance.

Qualifications

• BSc. (3–4 year) Engineering Degree from an accredited University (Petroleum Engineering preferred).
• 7–10 years Drilling Operations Engineering experience with an Operating Company.
• Experience in well design, tubular design, completions, wellbore construction, drilling fluids, well control; good geology understanding.

Required Experience And Skills

• BSc. (3 – 4 year) Engineering Degree from an accredited University. (Petroleum Engineering preferred)
• Minimum of 7 - 10 years Drilling Operations Engineering experience with an Operating Company
• Skill in well design, tubular design, completions, wellbore construction, drilling fluids, well control, and a good understanding of geology.
• Fully conversant with and ability to use drilling engineering software such as: Compass; Well Plan; Stress Check and Casing Seat or similar commercially available programs.
• Energy and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding performance and going above and beyond normal expectations.
• Ability to make the correct operational decisions based on systematic analysis with rigorous attention to detail.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (3-4 year) Engineering Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Petroleum Engineering
