Job summary

QatarEnergy Qatarization seeks a seasoned Drilling Operations Engineer to provide technical leadership for planning, design, and execution of drilling and workover programs in Qatar. You will develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling plans, support rig operations, manage risks, and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure compliance with company standards and HSE requirements.

With at least 15 years of experience with an operating company and expertise in well design,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of drilling operations engineering experience with an operating company.
• Expertise in well design, tubular design, completions, wellbore construction, drilling fluids, well control, and geology.
• Proficiency with drilling engineering software such as Compass, Well Plan, Stress Check and Casing Seat.
• Demonstrated energy and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding performance.
• Ability to make correct operational decisions based on rigorous analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and engineering support for planning, design, and execution of drilling and workover operations.
• Develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling programs.
• Support rig operations and manage operational risks.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors.
• Ensure all activities comply with company standards, procedures, and HSE requirements.
