Job summary

QatarEnergy in Qatar seeks a senior drilling engineering professional to provide technical leadership and engineering support for planning, design and execution of drilling and workover operations. You will ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective programs aligned with HSE standards.

The role requires 15+ years of experience with an operating company, expertise in well design, completions, wellbore construction and use of industry software such as Compass Well Plan and Stress Check.

Qualifications

• 15+ years drilling operations engineering experience with an operating company.
• Experience in well design, tubular design, completions, and wellbore construction.
• Proficient with offshore drilling software incl. Compass Well Plan, Stress Check, and Casing Seat.
• Strong analytical, safety, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and engineering support for planning, design and execution of drilling and workover operations.

Department DRILLING amp COMPLETIONS

Primary Purpose of the Job Provide technical leadership and engineering support for the planning design and execution of drilling and workover operations Responsible for developing safe efficient and cost-effective drilling programs supporting rig operations managing operational risks coordinating with stakeholders and contractors and ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with company standards procedures and HSE requirements

Minimum of 15 years Drilling Operations Engineering experience with an Operating CompanySkill in well design, tubular design, completions, wellbore construction, drilling fluids, well control, and a good understanding of geology.Fully conversant with and ability to use drilling engineering software such as: Compass Well Plan Stress Check and Casing Seat or similar commercially available programs.Energy and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding performance and going above and beyond normal expectations.Ability to make the correct operational decisions based on systematic analysis with rigorous attention to detail.Bachelor of Science (3-4 year) Engineering Degree from an accredited university, preferably Petroleum Engineering.
