Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking an experienced Drilling Operations Engineer to design wells, prepare drilling and workover programmes, and provide ongoing engineering support during execution. The candidate will ensure that well objectives are met safely, efficiently, and in line with QatarEnergy drilling standards, procedures, and HSE requirements, drawing on 7–10 years of field experience.

Strong knowledge of well design, drilling fluids, and geomechanical concepts is required, along with proficiency

Qualifications

• BSc Engineering degree required, Petroleum preferred.
• 7–10 years drilling operations engineering with an operating company.
• Proficient in well design, tubular design, completions, wellbore construction, drilling fluids, well control.

Responsibilities

• Design wells and prepare drilling and workover programmes.
• Provide engineering support during well execution.
• Ensure objectives are met safely and efficiently per QatarEnergy standards and HSE requirements.
