Job summary

QNB Group seeks an experienced economist to lead the Group Economics function, overseeing research, market intelligence, and the finalisation of macroeconomic reports. The role entails monitoring global economic developments and coordinating monthly deliverables for senior committees.

You will manage publications such as Country Economic Insight Reports and Weekly Economic Commentary, while guiding analysts and ensuring timely, high-quality outputs in a fast-paced banking environment in Doha.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, Market Research, or equivalent.
• Master degree and Ph. D. in Economics from a top global university is an advantage.
• At least 10 years of work experience within the economic department of a global financial institution with proven managerial oversight of small teams, with at least five years as an economist.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire research, analysis, market intelligence, coordination and finalisation of QNB economic reports.
• Monitor and report on economic developments in key international markets and strategic opportunities.
• Oversee publications and thought leadership in macroeconomics and country insights.
