Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Vehicle Chief Mechanic to supervise the maintenance, reconstitution and preservation of USAF vehicle assets. You will ensure quality, safety and compliance with PWS and QMS while guiding technicians in a high-demand environment.

Must have strong diagnostic skills and experience with heavy military vehicles. The role requires leadership, organizational abilities, and travel readiness to support domestic and international assignments.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.
Four years of USAF or US service equivalent vehicle and equipment repair experience required.
Recognized national qualification in vehicle maintenance at a higher level required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect assigned auto mechanics and electricians.
Ensure safety practices and housekeeping are maintained to the highest standard.
Manage time to complete work orders, inspections and LTIs.
Perform repair parts research and verify local availability of required parts.
Ensure vehicles are prepared for air/land/sea movement and mission readiness.
