Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking a skilled Technician for Trucks and Buses to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair heavy commercial vehicles. You will ensure safety, quality and reliability while supporting efficient workshop operations and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicles, troubleshooting skills and a commitment to completing repairs within timelines. English communication and valid driving where required are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or technical qualification in Automobile Engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of trucks, buses or heavy commercial vehicles.
• Experience with diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems in trucks and buses.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and general repairs on trucks and buses.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify issues.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking, steering, suspension, electrical systems and other components.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests to verify repairs.
• Follow repair procedures, manuals and workshop standards.
• Complete job cards and record parts used and additional work.
• Inform supervisor of additional faults or safety concerns after inspections.
• Maintain tools and diagnostic equipment and keep workspace safe and organized.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Assist teammates to ensure timely completion of work.
• Participate in training to grow product and diagnostic knowledge.
