Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive is recruiting a Master Technician for Volvo Trucks within the DOMASCO operation. The role focuses on inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of heavy commercial vehicles to ensure safety, reliability and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a technical diploma/ITI in automotive disciplines, hands-on experience with trucks/buses and strong diagnostic capabilities. English communication and willingness to work shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, or technical qualification in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of trucks, buses, or heavy commercial vehicles.
• Experience with diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and general repairs on trucks and buses.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify technical issues accurately.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and other components.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests to verify repair quality.
• Follow manufacturer procedures, manuals, and workshop standards.
• Complete job cards and record work performed, parts used, and additional repairs.
• Inform supervisor of additional faults or safety concerns identified during inspection.
• Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, and workspace in a safe, organized condition.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
• Support workshop team members to ensure timely completion of work.
• Participate in technical training to continuously develop knowledge.
