Job summary

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company seeks a Lead Structural Engineer to steer the structural scope of digital EPC projects from concept through handover. You will lead design governance, coordinate with MEP and ICT teams and drive safe, compliant and constructible solutions for data centres and related facilities.

You will oversee ongoing calculations, shop drawings and vendor inputs, ensuring alignment with loading, resilience and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, equipment foundations, and platforms.
• Load development, analysis, stability, strength, serviceability and vibration principles.
• Ability to assess heavy equipment, rooftop plant, generators and racks for dynamic effects.
• Coordination of structural models, penetrations, openings, and interfaces with MEP/ICT systems.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to resolve complex structural issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and technical assurance of the structural scope and schedules.
• Direct structural design criteria, calculations and drawings in line with project requirements.
• Provide technical leadership for foundations, frames, slabs and rooftop structures.
• Coordinate static, dynamic, seismic and wind loads with performance checks.
• Manage interfaces with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical and ICT disciplines.
• Review vendor loads, shop drawings and fabrication documents for compliance.
• Lead constructability reviews and resolve site changes and nonconformities.
• Ensure quality, safety and contractual compliance of structural deliverables.
• Drive modularization and future expansion while maintaining safety and maintainability.
• Guide engineers and maintain stakeholder communication throughout the project.
