Job summary

Galfar Al Misnad Engineering and Contracting W.L.L. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to manage electrical construction activities for data center projects, ensuring critical systems are installed safely, on schedule, and to spec.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and submittals, coordinating with multi-discipline teams, and supervising MV/LV installations, UPS, generators, and power distribution, with a strong focus on QA/QC and handover readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (UPDA preferred).
• 10+ years of electrical construction experience, including 2+ years in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and reviewing electrical drawings and SLDs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review shop drawings, technical submittals, MIRs, method statements, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and site issues.
• Review BOQs and support material procurement and tracking.
• Prepare as-built drawings and handover documentation.
• Supervise installation of MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, busducts, cable containment, and power cabling.
• Oversee installation of UPS systems, generators, ATSs, PDUs, and related critical power infrastructure.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct inspections.
• Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and punch-list closeout activities.
• Verify installation quality and readiness for handover.
