Job summary

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) U is seeking a Learning Design Specialist/Senior Specialist to design and continuously improve learning content, ensuring relevance, engagement, and alignment with client needs.

You will work embedded on client-facing case teams, collaborate with SMEs and vendors, develop ILT/VILT/WBT content, and deliver scalable capability-building solutions across international markets.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of instructional design experience.
• Knowledge of learning science applied in adult learning.
• Experience designing curriculums and assessments.
• Experience of ILT, VILT, WBT, micro-learning and social learning.

Responsibilities

• Content development and innovation to reflect current trends and priorities.
• Support creation of self-paced modules, masterclasses, role plays and simulations.

What You'll Do

As a Learning Design Specialist/Senior Specialist, you will support the design and continuous enhancement of BCG U’s learning content to ensure it remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with client needs and learning best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Development & Innovation: Maintain and update custom learning solutions to reflect current trends and evolving business priorities.
• Instructional Design: Support the creation of self-paced modules, masterclasses, role plays, and simulations using proven learning and behavior change frameworks.
• Collaboration with Experts: Partner with subject matter experts and vendors to co-develop high-quality learning content.
• Curriculum Support: Assist in standardizing and customizing content, as well as upgrading existing materials across programs.

You are good at

• Translating complex business and role requirements into focused, result-oriented learning strategies
• Identifying skill gaps and crafting learner-centric solutions grounded in behavioral science and adult learning principles
• Designing impactful learner journeys that drive engagement, retention, and on-the-job application
• Managing end-to-end learning design projects, from initial scoping and stakeholder alignment to prototyping and final delivery
• Creating compelling digital content using a variety of tools—e-learning authoring platforms, video editing software, and visual design tools
• Developing interactive learning formats such as simulations, videos, and infographics that bring content to life
• Equipping facilitators and client teams with clear, actionable enablement materials to ensure confident delivery and adoption

What You'll Bring

• 4-6 years of Instructional design experience
• Knowledge of learning science applied in adult learning
• Experience of designing curriculums and assessments
• Experience of developing Instructor Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT), Web based training (WBT), Micro-learning, social learning
• Strong review skills of learning work products
• Strong attention to details
• Strong relationship building skills with SMEs and vendor partners
• Experience of working in international market
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Power Point, Word, Slack, Trello or equivalent project management software
• Hands‑on experience leveraging generative AI tools
• Consulting experience working with cross‑functional client teams to diagnose needs, design scalable solutions, and deliver advisory services that drive measurable business impact
