Job summary

MetLife in Qatar is seeking a Senior General Risk Management Analyst to support risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting across the organization. You will help enhance the ERM framework, support regulatory engagements with the Qatar Central Bank, and provide insights to strengthen risk awareness and resilience.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in insurance industry as Risk Manager or equivalent.
• Bachelor's/Master in business administration, law or related field.
• A recognized risk management professional qualification at certificate level.
• Experience and understanding of risk management processes.
• Understanding of the Three Lines of Defence approach to risk management.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Act as the approved risk control function for Qatar operations and ensure local requirements are met.
• Implement and monitor risk management regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions related to risk management matters.
• Develop and enhance the Risk Management Framework, including policies and procedures.
• Facilitate risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting across functions.
• Coordinate NFRA processes across business functions.
• Document and assess key risks, controls, and remediation plans.
• Challenge and review risk assessments from owners and provide guidance.
• Liaise with regional and global teams to align with enterprise requirements.
• Manage operational risk event reporting, root cause analyses, and lessons learned.
• Deliver risk management awareness and training to promote risk culture.
