Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Senior General Risk Management Analyst in Qatar to support effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of enterprise risks. You will analyze the organization’s risk profile across operational, market, credit, liquidity, and insurance risks to inform decision-making and mitigation strategies.

Reporting to the Gulf Head of Risk and Compliance, you will help enhance the ERM framework, support regulatory engagements, and build risk awareness across leaders.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years in insurance risk management or equivalent.
• Must hold a degree in a relevant field (BA/MA).
• Professional risk qualification is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of the Three Lines of Defence approach is essential.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the approved risk control function for Qatar operations.
• Lead regulatory submissions and responses for risk management.
• Develop and enhance the Risk Management Framework and supporting policies.
• Monitor risk exposures, controls, and remediation plans across functions.
• Coordinate NFRA and risk committee materials and reporting.
• Provide risk oversight for business initiatives and change programs.
