Job summary

Consulture Search seeks a Senior Enterprise Risk Management Officer to support the implementation and management of the ERM framework across the organisation in Doha, Qatar. You will identify, assess and mitigate risks to support regulatory compliance and operational efficiency, working with departments to embed risk practices into daily operations and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration or related.
• Professional qualification such as CRMP is desirable.
• Five to seven years of risk management experience, preferably in insurance.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Senior Enterprise Risk Management Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation and management of the organisation's ERM framework. This includes identifying, assessing and mitigating risks to support operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

The role works closely with departments across the organisation to integrate risk management practices into daily operations and strategic planning.

Key Accountabilities

Risk Identification and Assessment

• Assist in identifying and evaluating risk exposure across all business units.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to determine the potential impact on the organisation.
• Develop departmental risk profiles and ensure they are regularly updated.

Risk Mitigation

• Work with department heads to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and recommend improvements.
• Ensure risk management practices comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

ERM Framework Implementation

• Support the ERM and AML Manager in developing and implementing the ERM framework.
• Assist in establishing risk management policies and procedures.
• Ensure the ERM framework is integrated into strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor key risk indicators and prepare regular reports for senior management and the Board.
• Maintain comprehensive records of risk management activities and decisions.
• Assist in preparing risk management reports for regulatory bodies, including the Qatar Central Bank.

Training and Awareness

• Conduct training sessions to improve employees' awareness and understanding of ERM.
• Develop training materials and ensure relevant employees receive regular compliance updates.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of risk management best practices.
• Remain current with industry trends, regulations and developments in ERM.

Key Performance Indicators

• Completion of risk assessments and audits within agreed timelines.
• Accuracy and quality of risk management documentation and reports.
• Effectiveness of contributions to risk mitigation strategies.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Stakeholder satisfaction with risk management support.

Decision-Making Authority

• Report to the ERM and AML Manager on strategic and operational matters.
• Exercise judgement and initiative when completing tasks within defined guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

• All departments, including Audit and Compliance.

• Qatar Central Bank and other regulatory bodies.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• A professional qualification such as Certified Risk Management Professional or equivalent is desirable.
• Five to seven years of relevant risk management experience, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Knowledge of risk management standards, methodologies and regulatory requirements.
