Job summary

SAUR in Doha, Qatar is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation and budgeting across engineering projects. You will report to the Study-Proposal Engineer and oversee detailed cost estimates and financial control throughout project lifecycles.

The role requires about 10+ years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office and quantity surveying tools. Fluency in English is essential for clear reporting and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs for engineering projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
Conduct cost analyses and prepare budget reports to support project planning and decision-making.
Monitor and track project expenses, ensuring adherence to budget and identifying discrepancies or variances.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of cost data and financial information.
Review and validate contractor and supplier invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms and project specifications.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals by providing cost estimates and financial analyses.
Maintain and update records of project costs, changes, and adjustments.
Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and financial improvements based on project performance and cost data.
Ensure that all quantity surveying practices comply with organizational standards and industry regulations.
