Job summary

Alftek in Doha, Qatar, seeks a Senior Project Expert to lead the management and delivery of specialised infrastructure projects in the Sewage Treatment Works (STW) area, including PPP frameworks. The role focuses on ensuring objectives, schedules and budgets are met across design-build, design-bid-build or EPC contracts.

You will coordinate with owners, legal authorities and delivery teams, oversee project controls, risk, HSE and quality, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• PMP or equivalent professional qualification.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Chartered engineer status from a recognized institution.
• Experience of working in Qatar and / or the Gulf region.
• 20+ years post-graduate experience in major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with project management processes and procedures.
• Liaise with delivery teams and stakeholders to manage multiple projects.
• Coordinate with owners and legal authorities to minimize disruption and meet deadlines.
• Overarching responsibility for project delivery across all disciplines.
• Manage Senior Management Team meetings and strategic workshops.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and report progress to authorities.
• Capture lessons learned to improve systems, tools and processes.
• Quality control, QA, and oversight of project performance.
• Define, evaluate and report on project KPIs.
