Job summary

Alftek is seeking a Drainage Design Expert specialising in pumping stations to lead design activities for major infrastructure projects in Doha, Qatar. You will provide management oversight across all phases, ensure specifications are followed and work stays on schedule and within budget, while offering design support and reviewing documents.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in pumping station design, proven leadership, and a track record delivering large multidisciplinary projects

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years’ experience in design of large pumping stations.
• At least 12 years’ experience with consultant firms delivering large multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience in Qatar or Gulf region preferred.
• Strong understanding of design principles and constructability for pumping stations

Responsibilities

• Provide design support and technical expertise throughout a project.
• Review reports and drawings to ensure compliance with contract specs and regulations.
• Coordinate designs with stakeholders across all project phases.
• Oversee consultants and contractors in design performance and quality.
• Develop cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion.
