Job summary

HBK Contracting Company W.L.L invites a Project Director – Building Construction to lead the delivery of major building projects in Qatar. You will oversee engineering, planning, MEP, commercial and QA/QC, ensuring safety, on-time completion and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 20+ years' experience in large-scale construction, 15+ years with Tier-1 contractors, and strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 20+ years of experience in major building construction projects.
• 15+ years of experience with Tier-1 main contractors.
• Experience leading projects valued at QAR 500 million or more.
• Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC is mandatory.
• Strong leadership, commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of QCS, QatarEnergy requirements, Primavera P6, and document management platforms is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of major building construction projects
• Manage client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships
• Oversee commercial, contractual, financial, and operational performance
• Direct multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Construction, MEP, Planning, Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and Logistics
• Drive project governance, risk management, and strategic decision-making
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
