Job summary

Assets Group in Doha is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Manager with a strong Main Contractor background to lead project controls across hospitality, mixed-use developments and major construction programs. The role requires proven expertise in planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and performance management, with SAP/ERP proficiency to drive project performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant project experience in large-scale construction.
• Strong background in planning, scheduling and cost control.
• Experience leading project controls teams and interfacing with senior management.
• Main Contractor experience is essential, hospitality projects preferred.
• GCC experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Project Controls function across major projects.
• Develop and maintain baselines for schedule, cost, budget, and KPIs.
• Lead planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations and risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide strategic project controls guidance to PMs and senior management.
• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Contracts, Commercial, and Construction teams.
• Prepare and present project controls reports and dashboards.
• Support claims, variations, and change management.
• Drive cost optimization and schedule improvement across projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project controls teams.
• Implement best practices, systems and processes to improve delivery.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Controls Manager with a strong Main Contractor background and proven experience in hospitality, mixed-use development, and major construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in Project Controls, Planning, and Cost Control, with the ability to lead project controls teams and drive project performance across complex projects.

• Lead and manage the Project Controls function across major projects.
• Develop and maintain project baselines, including schedule, cost, budget, and performance metrics.
• Lead planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, risks, and opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide strategic project controls guidance to Project Managers and senior management.
• Coordinate closely with Finance, Procurement, Contracts, Commercial, and Construction teams.
• Prepare and present comprehensive project controls reports, dashboards, forecasts, and KPIs.
• Support claims, variations, commercial assessments, and change management.
• Drive cost optimization, schedule improvement, and overall project performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing project controls teams.
• Implement best practices, systems, processes, and technology to improve project delivery.
• 8+ years of relevant project experience, with 5+ years in a supervisory/management role.
• Strong Main Contractor experience is essential.
• Proven experience in Hospitality projects is highly preferred.
• Experience in Mixed-Use Developments and large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Strong background in Project Planning, Scheduling, and Cost Control.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP/ERP systems is required; SAP functional knowledge is preferred.
• Strong understanding of project controls methodologies, cost forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
