Job summary

Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Car Market marketplace end-to-end. Lead strategy, discovery, delivery and post-launch results across iOS, Android and web while growing supply and demand balance and monetization across the GCC region.

You will define ranking, pricing and seller tooling, manage cross-functional squads, and drive experiments with a bilingual Arabic/English focus within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management, including owning a marketplace or two-sided product
• Proven ownership of marketplace metrics: liquidity, supply/demand balance, conversion
• Experience shipping consumer mobile products on iOS/Android

Responsibilities

• Own the Car Market product end-to-end strategy, roadmap, discovery, delivery and post-launch results across iOS, Android and web
• Grow both sides of the marketplace by listing supply and demand, balanced by segment and vehicle category
• Own the core marketplace funnel from listing creation to completed deal, reducing drop-off at each step
• Define and improve search filtering and ranking for quick, relevant results
• Build and improve seller experience: listing flow, photo upload, quality scoring and insights
• Develop pricing and valuation features including price checker and car history by chassis
• Own monetization: paid promotion, subscriptions, and lead-based revenue models
• Drive cross-sell with other QIC ecosystem offerings like motor insurance and rental
• Partner with dealers for tooling, bulk upload, and performance reporting
• Ensure trust and safety with fraud prevention and dispute handling
• Define the metric tree and report performance to leadership
• Run discovery interviews and structured experiments to inform roadmap
• Write clear specs and prioritize backlog for cross-functional squads
• Collaborate with Marketing, Data and Support on campaigns and issue resolution
• Ensure bilingual Arabic/English support and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Own the Car Market product end to end strategy roadmap discovery delivery and post launch results across iOS Android and web
• Grow both sides of the marketplace listing supply from private sellers and dealers and buyer demand keeping the two in balance by segment price band and vehicle category
• Own the core marketplace funnel from listing creation and moderation through search listing view seller contact and completed deal and systematically remove drop off at each step
• Define and improve search filtering and ranking so that buyers find relevant cars quickly and good listings get the exposure they deserve
• Build and improve the seller experience listing flow photo upload and AI moderation listing quality scoring price guidance and listing performance insights
• Develop pricing and valuation products including the price checker and car history by chassis number and expand the data behind them
• Own monetization paid promotion and featured listings dealer packages and subscriptions and lead based models with clear unit economics
• Drive cross sell between Car Market and the wider QIC ecosystem in particular motor insurance quotes at the point of purchase renewals in My Cars and car rental
• Build relationships with dealers and other supply partners and define the tooling they need bulk upload dealer accounts inventory management and performance reporting
• Own trust and safety for the marketplace listing fraud duplicate and misleading listings scam prevention and dispute handling working with Legal and Compliance
• Define the metric tree for the marketplace set targets and report performance to leadership on a regular cadence
• Run continuous discovery user interviews with buyers private sellers and dealers usability testing market and competitor analysis in Qatar and the GCC
• Run a structured experimentation program from hypothesis to A B test to rollout decision
• Write clear specs and acceptance criteria prioritise the backlog and lead a cross functional squad of engineers designers analysts and QA through delivery
• Partner with Marketing on acquisition and lifecycle campaigns with Data on models and attribution and with Customer Support on recurring user problems
• Ensure the product works for a bilingual Arabic and English audience and complies with local regulatory and data privacy requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management, including at least 3 years owning a marketplace, classifieds, e-commerce or other two sided consumer product
• Proven ownership of marketplace metrics: liquidity, supply and demand balance, listing to lead and lead to deal conversion, repeat usage and take rate
• Track record of shipping consumer mobile products at scale, with native iOS and Android as the primary surface
• Strong data skills: comfortable writing SQL, working in Amplitude, GA4, Power BI or Tableau, and designing and reading A/B tests without relying on someone else to interpret them
• Hands on discovery practice: user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and the judgement to know which signal to act on
• Experience with monetization of a marketplace: paid placement, subscriptions, lead based pricing or commission, and the unit economics behind them
• Solid understanding of search, ranking and recommendation mechanics, enough to work effectively with engineers and data scientists on them
• Experience working with supply partners or B2B accounts, such as dealers, agents or merchants, and building the tooling they need
• Strong written and spoken English, and the ability to write specs that leave no room for interpretation
• Experience leading cross functional squads in a fully remote, distributed and multicultural environment
• Commercial thinking: able to build a business case, defend a roadmap trade off with numbers, and present to executives
• Bachelor s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, classifieds, marketplaces or insurtech
• Experience with the GCC or MENA market, especially Qatar, and an understanding of local buyer behaviour
• Arabic language skills
• Familiarity with motor insurance products and the quote to purchase journey
• Experience with AI driven features such as content moderation, pricing models or recommendations
