Job summary

QD-SBG Construction is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to plan and execute preventive maintenance for PMV and other construction equipment at project sites in Qatar.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, coordinate repairs with on-site teams and vendors, and ensure adherence to safety and maintenance procedures. The role requires 8–12 years' PMV maintenance experience in the construction sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8-12 years' PMV maintenance experience in the construction industry.
• Relevant equipment maintenance certifications.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction machinery and equipment.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and hands-on maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and coordinate repairs on site.
• Conduct maintenance audits and inspections for procedure compliance.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on procedures and safety.
• Forecast maintenance budgets and track KPIs with the maintenance manager.
• Supervise junior engineers and technicians during maintenance activities.
• Subcontractor liaison for specialist repairs and on-site support.
• Procure and commission spare parts as required.
• Oversee lifting equipment maintenance and certification processes.
