Job summary
Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced HSE Lead to ensure LNG project safety across onshore and offshore activities in Qatar. You will implement and uphold health, safety and environmental requirements, review design and safety studies, and supervise incident investigations to drive continuous improvement.
The role requires NEBOSH certification, 10 years offshore HSE experience, and strong leadership in coordinating with clients, EPC contractors and subcontractors to maintain Life Saving Rules and
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Health and Safety, Risk Management or Engineering.
- NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Level 3 mandatory.
- ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Auditor (lead/internal) mandatory.
- OPITO BOSIET / FOET / T-BOSIET (incl. HUET) H2S Training.
- Minimum 10 years offshore HSE experience (DSV/Marine/Subsea).
- Experience with Client/Developer and/or EPCI Contractor Brownfield projects.
- Knowledge of IOGP/IMCA/SOLAS and related standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with LNG health and safety requirements throughout project execution.
- Prepare safety plans and work schedules to support project completion.
- Review safety studies and deliverables to develop Project HSE Plans.
- Lead HSE reviews (DRA, HAZIDs, HIRA, risk assessments) and close out actions.
- Champion proactive safety culture with onshore/offshore teams and contractors.
- Monitor contractor activities for compliance with HSE procedures.
- Lead safety awareness workshops and incident investigations.
- Daily liaison with contractor HSE and report performance to Subsea Marine Safety Lead.
- Ensure Life Saving Rules are implemented; record non-conformities and trends.
