Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a commercially driven Manager Specialty Segments to lead development and growth of our specialty travel portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Global Leisure Sales, you will drive revenue, profitability, market share growth and portfolio diversification through strategic partnerships and targeted B2B initiatives.

You will build strong relationships with cruise lines, tour operators, wellness and religious travel partners, and manage a high-performing team to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience; alternatively, High School Qualification, Vocational Qualification or Diploma with a minimum of 9 years of job-related experience.
• Proven commercial leadership experience within the airline, travel, tourism, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and specialty travel segments, with expertise in one or more areas such as cruise, tour operators, wellness tourism, religious travel, diaspora markets, or sports tourism.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth, profitability, market share, and portfolio diversification across Cruise, Tour Operators, Sports, and other segments.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies and initiatives aligned with Qatar Airways' objectives.
• Identify market opportunities and establish strategic partnerships to generate sustainable revenue.
• Build and manage relationships with specialty segment partners through reviews and joint planning.
• Deliver demand generation activities and programmes to increase market presence and revenue.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Specialty Segments team while ensuring compliance.
