Job summary

Qatar Airways Group in Doha seeks a commercially driven Manager of Specialty Segments to lead the growth of our specialty travel portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Global Leisure Sales, you will drive revenue, profitability, market share, and portfolio diversification through strategic partnerships, commercial programmes, and targeted B2B initiatives.

You will develop relationships across Cruise, Tour Operators, Sports, Wellness, and Religious Travel, lead business reviews and joint planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with extensive job-related experience.
• Proven commercial leadership experience within airline, travel, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and specialty travel segments (cruise, tour operators, wellness, religious travel).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Develop and execute commercial strategies for specialty segments.
• Identify market opportunities and establish strategic partnerships to generate revenue.

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic Manager Specialty Segments to lead the development and growth of Qatar Airways' specialty travel portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Global Leisure Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue, profitability, market share growth, and portfolio diversification through strategic partnerships, commercial programmes, and targeted B2B sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth, profitability, market share, and portfolio diversification across Cruise, Tour Operators, Sports, VFR, Tourism Boards, Wellness and Religious Travel segments.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies and initiatives aligned with Qatar Airways' business objectives.
• Identify market opportunities and establish strategic partnerships to generate sustainable revenue streams.
• Build and manage relationships with specialty segment partners through business reviews, negotiations, and joint business planning.
• Deliver demand generation activities and commercial programmes that increase market presence and revenue performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and align commercial priorities.
• Monitor portfolio performance through commercial reporting, market intelligence, and data-driven analysis to optimise business results.
• Provide commercial recommendations to support revenue growth, profitability, and business performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Specialty Segments team to support sustainable business growth.
• Ensure delivery of business objectives while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety, security, and operational standards.

Qualification

About You

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience; alternatively, High School Qualification, Vocational Qualification or Diploma with a minimum of 9 years of job-related experience.
• Proven commercial leadership experience within the airline, travel, tourism, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and specialty travel segments, with expertise in one or more areas such as cruise, tour operators, wellness tourism, religious travel, diaspora markets, or sports tourism.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective internal and external relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a commercial mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and drive business performance through strategic initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong project management, planning, time management, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
