Job summary

Qatar Airways Group seeks a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2 Avionics) in Doha to ensure maintenance of aircraft and expedient rectification of defects under the Supervisor Maintenance. The role includes flying duties as the Operating Engineer and supervising maintenance staff to ensure safe, on-time dispatch.

Candidates should have a Part 66 license or equivalent, a minimum of ten years' LAE experience in line and base maintenance, and current ratings on multiple aircraft types including A340,

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or technical diploma and Part 66 license.
• Minimum 10 years' experience as Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2) in line and base maintenance.
• Current type ratings and 5+ years on at least two of the listed aircraft types.

Responsibilities

• Exercising license for line and base maintenance.
• Reviewing work and resources allocated.
• Informing Supervisor Maintenance of performed work and potential service disruptions.
• Defining work priorities and ensuring efficiency of staff.
• Ensuring documentation and certification of maintenance work.
• Reporting and compiling technical reports.
• Performing flying duties as Operating Engineer.
• Debriefing staff to define and record defects.
• Acting as company on-site representative during subcontracted layovers.
• Supporting maintenance leadership in their duties.
