Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer in Qatar to lead instrumentation and Fire & Gas activities across EPC and Startup phases. The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering with 6 years of oil & gas experience, SIL expertise, and strong project leadership.

You will supervise contractors, review designs, support commissioning, and ensure safety and reliability across critical systems. Responsibilities include leading SIL workshops, integrity programs, and cross-discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 6 years’ experience in oil and gas environment
• Full knowledge of SIL requirements
• Plan and support Instrumentation / Fire & Gas (F&G) Engineering activities at Senior Engineer level during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset.
• Ensure project deliverables meet Operations expectations Safety, Operability, Reliability, and Maintainability

Responsibilities

• Support surveillance and administration programs for critical Instrument and F&G systems to achieve Reliability, Availability, and Cyber Security.
• Provide Instrument / F&G engineering support including design reviews (SIL workshops, assessment and verification, HAZOP), commissioning, startup, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Support integrity program implementation for Instrument / F&G to ensure Safety, Reliability, and Availability.
• Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions to support business objectives.
• Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers
• Guide less experienced engineers in integrity systems and reliability systems.
• Support project tie-in requirements for all systems under responsibility.
• Maintain Issue Register to identify critical issues and resolve risks (including new technology risks) impacting Reliability, Availability, and Cyber Security.
• Support high-risk commissioning activities for large-scale projects, including system surveillance, tuning and optimizing Instrument and F&G systems, and providing advisory support to Operations and Maintenance.
