Airswift is seeking a Control Engineering Specialist to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company. The role focuses on leading control system engineering activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and project specifications, and supporting FEED/EPC contractors.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10 years in oil & gas, including 4 years in a project management role. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

• 10 years’ experience in specialization within oil and gas industry, of which 4 years are in project management team role.

Responsabilités

• Ensure control system engineering activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements, project specifications and approved variations if any.
• Resolve engineering issues that may arise and communicate with the Team.
• Elevate issues to higher levels when necessary.
• Develop, update and amend various policies and procedures related to projects management as and when required in consultation with the Head of department and other team members.
• Support the engineering team of external organizations, entities appointed representatives to ensure engineering design addresses each company’s expectations consistent with Company and Project’s objectives.
• Evaluate complex tasks and provide appropriate recommendations to management on issues.
• Provide support to other disciplines and contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks.
• Uphold all Project Philosophies and Procedures and ensure that these are applied to the specification, design and procurement of control systems.
• Ensure compliance with Company systems and processes including the Company Project Management System and maintain support and adoption of all processes.
• Prepare plans and work schedules that ensure effective completion of projects.
• Monitor and provides necessary guidance to the FEED, EPC contractor(s) and all third-party services throughout the project phases.
• Ensure the facilities are constructed per scope, meeting Company standards and specifications, within the time and project cost approved by the shareholders.
• Support other engineers in complex analyses and assignments and provide expertise to ensure completion of activities within schedule.

JOB PURPOSE

Perform control system engineering activities for Division to execute key activities ensuring that all activities comply with standardized processes and are delivered to the highest standards.
