Job summary

Confidential is hiring a Senior Corporate Legal Leader to head the Corporate Legal team in Doha, overseeing compliance, risk, and strategic transactions. You’ll guide senior management and the Board on complex matters in a highly regulated environment.

With 15–20 years of experience and LLB+LLM, you will manage corporate governance, contracts, and cross-border deals while leading an internal team and coordinating with external counsel.

Qualifications

• LLB and LLM are mandatory.
• 15–20 years of experience in legal roles.
• Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in entity management, corporate finance, M&A, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and Board.
• Ensure compliance with financial, banking, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee corporate governance and internal legal policies.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and financial agreements.
• Manage legal aspects of M&A, joint ventures, and investment transactions.
• Oversee regulatory filings, licensing, and authority engagements.
• Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Support finance and compliance teams on regulatory matters.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the internal legal team.
• Control legal budgets and external advisory costs.
