Job summary

Employment is seeking a Contract Specialist to analyze and implement strategic sourcing, prepare and review contracts, and support governance for procurement activities. The role involves leading market and cost-benefit analyses, liaising with end-users and vendors, and guiding post-award tasks such as extensions and claims.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, 10+ years procurement experience in large settings, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• Relevant certification and/or training in procurement or supply chain.
• 10+ years relevant procurement experience in a large setting.
• Working experience in a well-developed computerized ERP environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and executes Contract documents (drafting, negotiation, and endorsements with stakeholders)
• Manage post-award process (completion, variations, warranty, claims)
• Implements category-specific procurement to enhance process by establishing agreements (Call-Off, BPA, Open PO) in alignment with the group’s approved policies and procedures.
• Supports the development of procurement (tendering) documents for the selected services.
• Updates Terms and Conditions of Contracts and Purchase Orders.
• Actively supports the activities and objectives of the relevant group’s standardization and service evaluation committees.
• Participates in selected procurements of high-value and/or high-risk and other areas as directed.
• Reviews technical and commercial evaluation reports before submitting them for approval in accordance with the authority matrix.
• Develop and implement enhancements for procurement process and performance (Policies & Procedures).
• Research regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.
• Coordinate with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the terms and regulations.
• Adheres to the group’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
• Assess contractor performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts.
