Job summary

Advanced Search is seeking a senior procurement professional to support the Head of Category in developing contracting and procurement policies, and to manage tendering and contract documentation within delegated authority. The role includes risk management, operational continuity, and ensuring team performance across assigned categories in a challenging Oil & Gas environment.

The candidate will lead complex sourcing events, supplier prequalification, and negotiations, while driving process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance or related field.
• 8+ years of direct procurement experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or large manufacturing.
• Professional certification (CIPS or CPSM) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of contracting and procurement IT/IMS tools and tendering procedures.
• Experience in contractor and supplier prequalification, agreements, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead contracting and procurement activities across the full need-to-pay cycle.
• Review tendering strategies, bid analyses, and contract documentation for alignment with standards.
• Mentor Category Specialists and manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Drive cost reduction and process optimization; report KPIs and savings to senior management.
• Promote use of AI, automation, and digital tools in category management.
