Job summary

AECOM in Doha seeks a Senior Contracts & Commercial Specialist to lead the administration of Works Contractors and GECs on major infrastructure programs. You will oversee CVAs, claims, tender documentation, and ensure compliance with PWA procedures and Qatar government rules, while mentoring junior team members in a global firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 14+ years of relevant professional experience in contracts, commercial management, quantity surveying, procurement, or contract administration.
• Demonstrated experience working on major infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Strong experience in the administration of Works Contractor and GEC contracts.
• Experience with GEC design and supervision and supervision-only contracts is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in claims administration, change management, contract variations, CVAs, tender documentation, and procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of PWA contract and procurement procedures and Qatar Government requirements.
• Working knowledge of PWA Conditions of Contract and Specifications, including QCS 2014 and subsequent revisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts for Works Contractors and GECs across infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and administer CVAs and contract variations through approvals.
• Prepare commercial substantiation for CVAs and liaise with tender committees.
• Administer and monitor contractor and GEC claims and provide commercial advice.
• Maintain tender and contract documentation and PMDS database updates.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for PWA approvals and timely submissions.
