Job summary

Malomatia in Doha, Qatar, seeks a hands-on senior Databricks specialist to independently design, develop, troubleshoot, optimize, and govern Databricks solutions in production enterprise environments. You will design enterprise data platforms, build ETL/ELT pipelines with Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and integrate with Dynamics 365; mentor engineers and enforce security, governance, and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering/data architecture.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and data governance.
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional/Associate preferred.
• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate or other Azure certifications welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions on Azure Databricks.
• Define and maintain Databricks data architecture and platform standards.
• Develop and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines using Spark and Delta Lake.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps practices for Databricks solutions.
• Mentor data engineers and ensure security, governance, and cost controls.
