Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) seeks a Rigging Supervisor - Rigger II Lead to oversee lifting operations on major oil and gas projects in Qatar. You will verify load specs, coordinate teams, and ensure equipment and procedures meet safety standards.

The role requires a broad background in rigging, crane operations, and a valid rigging certificate, with hands-on experience in heavy lift projects up to 500T.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or ITI certificate is required.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sectors.
• Valid Rigging certificate from a certified agency.

Responsibilities

• Check loads to be moved, estimate size, weight, and CG; ensure loads do not exceed crane capacities.
• Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots.
• Select proper slings and lifting gear, padding sharp corners to protect slings.
• Maintain vigilance for hazards and use signals to guide loads safely.
• Guide loads into position as they are lowered.
• Move heavy equipment and large pipes using cranes up to 500T.

# Rigging Supervisor## CRIG08 - Rigger II LeadKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.**Responsibilities:*** Check loads to be moved, estimate size, shape, weight and center of gravity, and make sure that loads do not exceed lifting capacities of cranes.* Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items to be moved, using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots* Choose/Select the proper slings, lifting gears and other grappling devices, covering sharp corners with padding to prevent damage to slings.* Continually alert for people, or objects which may come in the path of the load, where the load is not visible to crane or winch operators, hand signals, whistles or two-way radios are used.* Guide loads into position as they are lowered.* Lifting and shifting/moving Heavy equipment, large size pipes and control valves etc. with very large capacity cranes size up to 500T.**Qualifications:*** Secondary (12 years) certificate.
