Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Doha, Qatar, seeks a Rigging Supervisor to oversee rigging operations, crane lifts, and load safety on complex projects. The role requires coordinating lifting plans, site supervision and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical environments, plus a valid rigging certificate and ITI/Secondary education.

Qualifications

• Secondary (12 years) certificate; ITI preferred.
• 7 years hands-on Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry experience.
• Valid Rigging certificate from a certified agency.

Responsibilities

• Check loads to be moved, estimate size, shape, weight and center of gravity, ensuring loads do not exceed crane capacities.
• Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots.
• Choose proper slings and grappling devices; cover sharp corners with padding to prevent sling damage.
• Maintain alertness for people/objects in load path; use hand signals, whistles or radios.
• Guide loads into position as they are lowered.
• Lift and shift heavy equipment and large pipes with cranes up to 500T capacity.
