Job summary

KBR Careers is seeking a qualified Rigger for offshore/onshore projects in Qatar. The role involves planning lifts, selecting rigging gear, and guiding heavy loads with cranes up to large capacities. You will ensure safety, load integrity, and precise placement on complex facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Secondary certificate or ITI, with 7+ years in Oil & Gas/Petrochem; a valid Rigging certificate is required. Qatar-based assignments may be long-term and active during plant campaigns.

Qualifications

• Secondary (12 years) certificate; ITI preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industries.
• Valid Rigging certificate from a certified agency.

Responsibilities

• Check loads to be moved, estimate size, shape, weight and center of gravity.
• Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items to be moved using clamps, hooks, bolts.
• Select proper slings and rigging gear, cover sharp corners with padding to prevent damage.
• Guide loads into position as they are lowered and maintain clear communication with crane operators.

# Rigger## CRIG07 - RiggerKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.**Responsibilities:*** Check loads to be moved, estimate size, shape, weight and center of gravity, and make sure that loads do not exceed lifting capacities of cranes.* Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items to be moved, using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots* Choose/Select the proper slings, lifting gears and other grappling devices, covering sharp corners with padding to prevent damage to slings.* Continually alert for people, or objects which may come in the path of the load, where the load is not visible to crane or winch operators, hand signals, whistles or two-way radios are used.* Guide loads into position as they are lowered.* Lifting and shifting/moving Heavy equipment, large size pipes and control valves etc. with very large capacity cranes size up to 500T.**Qualifications:*** Secondary (12 years) certificate.
