Job summary

KBR is seeking a skilled Rigger to support heavy lifting operations in Doha. You will assess loads, select lifting gear, and guide loads with cranes up to 500T. Ensure safety protocols and convey proper signals to crane operators to maintain safe work zones.

Ideal candidates hold a Secondary certificate, ITI, and a valid Rigging certificate, with 7+ years in Oil & Gas or related industries and hands-on experience in rigging activities.

Qualifications

• Have a Secondary (12 years) certificate.
• ITI certificate with 7 years relevant oil & gas experience.

Responsibilities

• Check loads, estimate size, shape, weight and center of gravity, ensuring crane capacities are not exceeded.
• Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots.
• Select proper slings and lifting gears, padding corners to protect slings from damage.
• Stay alert for people or objects in the load path; use signals, whistles or radios.
• Guide loads into position as they are lowered.
• Move heavy equipment and large pipes with cranes up to 500T capacity.

Job description

Title: Rigger Rigger CRIG07 - Rigger

Responsibilities

• Check loads to be moved, estimate size, shape, weight and center of gravity, and make sure that loads do not exceed lifting capacities of cranes.
• Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items to be moved, using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots
• Choose/Select the proper slings, lifting gears and other grappling devices, covering sharp corners with padding to prevent damage to slings.
• Continually alert for people, or objects which may come in the path of the load, where the load is not visible to crane or winch operators, hand signals, whistles or two-way radios are used.
• Guide loads into position as they are lowered.
• Lifting and shifting/moving Heavy equipment, large size pipes and control valves etc. with very large capacity cranes size up to 500T.

Qualifications

• Secondary (12 years) certificate.
• Preferably ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate holder 07 years relevant and hands-on experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry and competency*.
• Valid Rigging certificate from competent and certified agency Belong. Connect.
