We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Quality Specialist (Assurance) specialising in offshore compression. This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:

Job Purpose

The Quality Specialist (Assurance) plays a key role in driving the effective implementation of the Project Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with corporate quality requirements and project expectations. The role provides assurance leadership across key quality activities, including Quality Surveillance Programs, CAR/NCR/DR follow-up and reporting, audit management, quality induction, performance reporting,implementation of the Quality Flawless Execution Program, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Context & Major Challenges

The role requires strong self-organisation, proactive coordination, and effective engagement across diverse organisations with a global reach, including business travel when required. The incumbent must remain constructive and focused under pressure, balancing multiple priorities while ensuring that critical quality and integrity requirements are not compromised. Promotes quality, effectiveness, and consistency across project quality processes, systems, procedures, and work products. Resolves challenging or unfamiliar issues by applying sound judgement, lessons learned, relevant precedent, and acquired project and quality knowledge.

Key Accountabilities
  • Report to Head of Quality.
  • Lead implementation of the Project Quality Plan and provide oversight of the Contractor's Project Quality Management System and procedures to ensure purchased materials and equipment comply with project specifications.
  • Verify that Engineering, Procurement, and Construction quality systems and procedures are effectively implemented in accordance with approved Quality Management System requirements.
  • Support implementation of Procurement and Construction Quality Surveillance Programs in line with the approved surveillance strategy.
  • Drive the Deficiency and NCR Management processes to ensure deficiencies and nonconformances are identified, recorded, investigated, and resolved.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving using appropriate quality tools.
  • Implement the Quality Reporting process to monitor quality performance, communicate procurement Quality issues and risks, and highlight emerging trends to the Head of Quality.
  • Support the effective implementation and coordination of Company and Contractor Project Audit Programs and maintain the Audit Universe.
  • Establish, coordinate, and maintain records for project-specific quality orientation and training.
  • Monitor established Quality KPIs and measure Contractor quality performance against contractual requirements.
  • Support the Head of Quality in preparing for Gate Reviews and developing quality reports.
  • Manage Company lessons learned activities and oversee the Contractor's capture and application of quality lessons learned.
Minimum Requirements Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering
  • Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications
  • Knowledge and/or Experience 8 years experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
  • Knowledge of Industry standards Technical and Business Skills Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry Ability to interact with project management team and Contractors confidently Requires strong analytical, organisational and planning skills
