Job summary

Airswift are supporting a Major Oil & Gas operator with a Quality Lead (Vendor) for an offshore compression project. The role is onshore site-based in Qatar on a long-term 36-month contract, with a 6-day work week and 10-hour days.

Reporting to Head of Quality, you will implement the Project Quality Plan, oversee the Contractor's QMS, and ensure procurement activities meet project requirements. Requires 12 years in Oil & Gas quality and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
• 12 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years in a supervisory or oversight role.
• Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
• Knowledge of Industry standards; strong analytical and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Project Quality Plan and oversee the Contractor's Quality Management System.
• Monitor Procurement Quality processes and ensure conformance with project specs.
• Administer inspection resources using TPSIS & SIS and manage PMT flexibility.
• Lead or participate in Project Quality Audits and report quality performance and risks.

Long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day.

Job Purpose

Job Purpose: Responsible for implementing the QELNG project quality management program and ensuring the effective implementation of EPC Contractor's quality management system with regards to Procurement Quality for Multi Billion Major Offshore Compression Project.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

The role will require excellent self organization skills with interactions across diverse organizations at global reach, including business trips as and when required Working under pressure, but maintain positive and constructive mindset Complete multiple tasks, but not to jeopardise prioritization of activities versus criticality and integrity Ensure there is quality, effectiveness and consistency in Procurement Quality processes, systems, procedures and work products. Manages the resolution of problems in more demanding and less familiar situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge.

Key Accountabilities

Report to Head of Quality (Compression Project). Implement the Project Quality Plan and provide oversight of Contractor's Project Quality Management System and procedures to ensure that all purchased material and equipment are compliant with project specifications Implement the Procurement Quality Surveillance Program to confirm that procurement activities performed by the EPC Contractor are adequate and effective as part of the overall risk management program Administer the provision of inspection resources using QELNG approved Third Party Inspection Services (TPSIS) & Site Inspection Services (SIS) Call-Off frame Agreements Close monitor and assess the TPSIS & SIS inspectors performances, and implement increase PMT flexibility and availability, by providing more intensive presence at key equipment manufacturers/vendors shops where criticality has determined past problems or weaknesses5. Implement Deficiency & NCR Management processes to ensure that deficiencies and non-conformances are identified, recorded, investigated and resolved to maintain compliance with project requirements Implement Quality Reporting process to monitor quality performance; and to communicate and report on procurement quality performance, issues and risks, and developing trends to Head of Quality Actively participate in Project Quality Audit Program to confirm that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with agreed plans and procedures, including periodic assessments of Contractor's purchasing and subcontracting processes Conduct other quality related tasks as directed by Head of Quality

Minimum Requirements Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications Knowledge and/or Experience 12 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Knowledge of Industry standards Technical and Business Skills Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry Ability to interact with project management team and Contractors confidently Requires strong analytical, organisational and planning skills
