Job summary

Mackinnon Bruce International is seeking a General Manager – Qatar to lead the regional paints & coatings business with full P&L accountability. This senior role requires strategic leadership, strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive growth across the Qatar market and wider Middle East region.

The successful candidate will develop and execute business strategy, manage cross-functional teams and engage with Group Management to deliver sustainable profitability and market expansion.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' progressive commercial/business experience in paints & coatings, specialty chemicals or related industrial sector
• Previous experience as General Manager, Country Manager, Commercial Director or equivalent
• Demonstrable P&L ownership and responsibility for revenue, margins and profitability
• Strong track record of commercial growth, market development and channel management
• Established knowledge of the Qatar market and routes to market
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including budgets, forecasting, pricing and working capital
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across a business

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L for the Qatar business including revenue, margins, profitability, costs, cash and working capital
• Develop and execute the annual business strategy, budget and operating plan
• Drive commercial growth through market development, key-account management and channel development
• Identify new customers, market segments and product opportunities in Qatar and wider region
• Lead pricing, product mix and customer profitability initiatives for sustainable performance
• Build and maintain relationships with major customers, distributors, contractors and other stakeholders
• Provide leadership across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Quality and HR
• Oversee manufacturing performance and ensure capacity, service, quality and supply-chain readiness
• Maintain budgets, costs, receivables, inventory and working capital control
• Lead and retain a high-performing local management team
• Act as senior representative in Qatar with customers, partners and industry stakeholders
• Provide regular performance updates to Group Management on financials and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, EHS and Group requirements
