Projects and Process Development Engineer – Qatar Airways – Doha, Qatar

Position Overview: Projects and Process Development Engineer at Qatar Airways in Doha, Qatar is a technical improvement role focused on identifying, designing, and implementing process enhancements across engineering and maintenance operations. This position supports continuous improvement initiatives, system optimization, and data-driven decision-making within the airlines and aviation maintenance environment.

Location: Doha, Qatar. Salary range: 13,000–17,000 QAR per month. Full-time. Candidate nationality and gender: Any.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise continuous improvement activities across Technical functions to enhance processes and procedures
• Engage stakeholders across Technical, IT, and Finance to deliver cross-departmental improvement projects
• Maximize utilization of MRO systems and propose system enhancements for improved operational performance
• Identify process gaps, define improvements, implement changes, and control outcomes against defined business objectives
• Develop system- and data-oriented approaches to support objective, data-driven business decisions
• Create process measurements and automated KPI reporting while maintaining data accuracy in MRO systems
• Implement industry best practices and ensure sustainable results through ongoing measurement and procedure development
• Identify gaps in existing processes and system capabilities through detailed analysis of MRO systems
• Promote a positive, results-driven culture by motivating and engaging project team members
• Develop cross-functional capabilities through execution of multi-department projects
• Promote continuous improvement and lean principles through training sessions, workshops, and implementation projects
• Perform additional duties related to the role as directed by the department

Ideal Profile

• High School, Vocational, Diploma, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Awareness of project management methodologies
• Knowledge of MRO system module integration, capabilities, limitations, and best practices
• Strong commitment to customer service and proactive process review
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
• Six Sigma or Lean certification is an advantage
• Broad knowledge of airline MRO and project management is preferred
