Position Overview

Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Manager Development to lead the planning and preparation of airport infrastructure projects that enhance capacity, operational efficiency, and service excellence. The role involves managing strategic planning, feasibility assessments, and business case development for large‑scale infrastructure programs covering terminals, airside and landside facilities, utilities, and special systems. The selected candidate will collaborate across multiple departments to ensure projects are aligned with the Airport Master Plan, business priorities, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, business cases, and investment proposals for infrastructure expansion and modernization.
• Coordinate with Strategy, Finance, Engineering, and Planning to ensure alignment with Qatar Airways' long‑term transformation goals.
• Support Investment Committee processes, ensuring all proposals comply with governance, risk, and documentation standards.
• Participate in cross‑functional workshops to align project plans with operational readiness and service enhancement objectives.
• Translate development priorities into clear project scopes and ensure alignment with regulatory and master planning objectives.
• Oversee project assessment phases, engage sponsors and subject matter experts, and validate functional requirements.
• Evaluate technical feasibility, develop solution options, and prepare cost‑benefit and risk analyses.
• Ensure project readiness by collaborating with PMO and delivery teams for implementation planning and transition.
• Track project performance and benefit realisation metrics to ensure business objectives are met.
• Prepare executive reports, technical documentation, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain continuous coordination with Operations, IT, Commercial, and Engineering departments throughout project lifecycles.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Infrastructure Planning, Architecture, or Business Administration.
• 8–10 years of experience in airport or large‑scale infrastructure planning and development.
• Proven experience in project feasibility assessment, investment planning, and capital project governance.
• Familiarity with ICAO, IATA, and regional aviation regulations preferred.
• Prior exposure to GCC infrastructure or aviation projects desirable.
• Strong analytical and planning capabilities with business case and stakeholder management expertise.
• Experience in digital and AI‑driven planning or reporting tools preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
